Buying a Used 80 Series Land Cruiser

The 80 Series (debut Oct 1989; sold in Japan to 1997, plus the 1996–97 Lexus LX450) pairs coil-sprung solid axles at both ends with full-time 4WD in the US and Europe.[1][2] Most are now 30+ years old, so condition and history matter more than the model year.
